Maritz provides Travel Accident coverage for employees who have a covered loss while traveling on company business. This coverage is provided automatically to all employees (full-time or part-time) at no cost to you. No election is needed.

Travel Assistance is also provided whether traveling for business or pleasure for certain things like evacuation assistance, translation/communication help, emergency medical and travel assistance, and more.

    Travel Insurance / Chubb (An ACE American Insurance Company)

    If you suffer certain losses as the result of a covered accident while you are traveling on business for Maritz, the plan will pay a percentage of the principal coverage amount. "Traveling on business for Maritz" means a trip authorized by Maritz Inc. or a subsidiary for the purpose of furthering its business. It does not mean travel to and from work, or while on a leave of absence or vacation.

    Business Travel Benefits

    The amount of coverage is called the principal coverage amount. For executive officers (management levels of 1 - 3 as shown in Workday), the principal coverage amount is $100,000. For all other employees, the principal coverage amount is $50,000.

    • For loss of life, 100% of the principal coverage amount will be paid.

    • For a loss which is a combination of two or more; hand, foot, sight, 100% of the principal coverage amount will be paid.

    • For a loss which is one hand, one foot, or sight of one eye, 50% of the principal coverage amount will be paid.

    • For a loss which is a thumb and index finger of the same hand, 25% of the principal coverage amount will be paid.

    To be covered, the loss must occur while you are traveling on company business and must result from one of the following:

    • Traveling in, exiting or entering a commercial or military aircraft or public conveyance

    • Being struck by a public conveyance or aircraft

    • Exposure to the elements after the forced landing, sinking or wrecking of a vehicle in which you are riding

    To File a Claim

    You or your beneficiary should obtain a claim form from the Maritz Benefits Department by contacting 636.827.6120 or Benefits@Maritz.com. Submit the completed form to the insurance company, according to the instructions on the form.

    Your claim will be reviewed, and you will be notified of the decision to approve or deny your claim. The notification will be provided to you within a reasonable period, not to exceed 90 days from the date your claim is received, unless you are notified within that period that there are special circumstances requiring an extension of time of up to 90 additional days.
