Telehealth Options

Take control of your health – day or night, from home, work, or on-the-go.  Whether you’re sick, don’t have time to wait for a doctor’s appointment, or your child is sick after your physician’s normal business hours, you can get access to care for non-life threatening conditions. All this with a click or tap of a button.  Explore your virtual care options at

Telehealth providers provide you with on-demand, 24/7/365 access to cost-effective, quality non-urgent care through a national network of licensed, board-certified U.S. based doctors, including pediatricians.  Using the services of a Telehealth provider is fast, convenient, and less expensive than an emergency room, urgent care, and in some cases, less than your primary care physician.

MDLive and Amwell treat the same conditions. However, certain geographic areas may have more in-network telehealth providers than other areas, or one may be more popular in certain areas than others.  We are offering two separate providers and allowing you the option to choose the one you prefer.

Both vendors provide services in all states except:

MDLive – no coverage in Arkansas; Idaho has video services only; Texas has phone services only

Amwell – no coverage in Arkansas, Alaska, or Texas

Use MDLive and Amwell physicians to treat conditions such as: acne, allergies, asthma, bronchitis, cold and flu, diarrhea, earaches, fever, headache, infections, insect bites, joint aches, nausea, pinkeye, rashes, respiratory infections, sinus infections, skin infections, sore throat, or urinary tract infections.

For 2019, the rate will be $45 for MDLive or $49 for Amwell. The portion of this charge you will be responsible for will vary depending on whether you have satisfied your annual deductible or out-of-pocket maximum for the year.

Here’s how it works:                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Register online with one or both vendors so you are ready to use this service when needed:                                                                                              MDLive:                                                                                                                                                                                                         American Well:

Cigna Behavioral Health provides access to video-based counseling and medication management for issues like anxiety, depression, grief, stress, family and relationship issues, etc.

Cigna Behavioral Health providers are available during normal business hours.  They are not available 24/7/365.                                                                  Consultation charges for their services are billed to your Cigna medical plan at the same negotiated rate they would charge for regular office visits.
